Celebrate Disneyland’s 65th Birthday with a DIY Dole-Whip-Colada

Today, Disneyland is celebrating their 65 anniversary and it’s time to celebrate with a little frosty pineapple and rum drink.

We’re annual passholders at Disneyland (or we were, until the pandemic shut everything down) and like so many others, it is our family’s happy place.

Since grabbing the delicious Dole Whip treat before watching the Enchanted Tiki Room show is always a must-do, I’ve included an adult-version of the icy-cold treat in cocktail form to kick off your at-home celebration.

Dole-Whip-Colada Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • 4 oz. of pineapple juice
  • 2 cups of frozen pineapple
  • 1 1/2 ounces white “coconut” rum
  • 1 ounce dark rum

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender until it’s a thick drink
  2. Serve in a tall glass, with a big straw

This recipe is based on the “official” Dole Whip recipe released by Disney earlier this year. Feel free to use dark rum only if you’re not a fan of the “coconut” flavored rum.

Enjoy this refreshing treat and hopefully we’ll all be able to enjoy the real thing at Disneyland soon. What’s your favorite Disney treat?
