Happy New Year geeks! Hopefully you’re nursing your New Years Eve hangover with a cup of coffee and thinking about what you want to accomplish this year.
Like many of us, I like to use the new year to set new fitness and health goals and this year I’m planning to keep an eye on how many calories I’m drinking – both alcoholic and otherwise.
The team at Beverage Labels create a helpful graphic that includes the amount of calories in some of the most commonly consumed alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
NOTE: in order to make it easier to visually compare, the serving size for this graphic is 12 ounces, but that is not the recommended serving size for many of these drinks (particularly the alcoholic ones hehe).
Wow. I can’t believe it’s been almost 4 months since the 5th Annual International Food Blogger Conference (IFBC). My third trip to the fabulousness that is this fun food bloggers conference happened so quickly and then whoooooosh the months went by. Of course, I think finding out shortly after IFBC that I was pregnant had a BIG impact on my lack of follow-through.
Yup, you read that right – us Geeks are going to have a baby geek soon! We’re super excited, but it has put a bit of a damper on my drinking (although I do have a mean mocktail recipe I want to post…). Brad is currently drinking for both of us. Anyway, I do have a GIANT list of things to follow-up on post-IFBC that I promise to post soon. In the meantime, happy 2014 everyone! It’s bound to be a wild ride.
